In 1914, Emil Trudel founded the silk trading house of the same name in Zurich. In 1949 his son Bernhard Trudel took over the company. A pioneer who became a luminary. From the very beginning he maintained the best international relationships with China, India, Russia and Italy, which would become his second home. Relationships based on mutual trust and respect, which are still the foundation of our company today.

Over the decades, we have expanded our competences. From pure trade in raw material to producers of premium quality raw silk, silk yarns and silk fabrics. Our main focus has always been quality and this in each aspect of our work. We therefore also set up our own quality control center in China in order to test the quality of our products already at origin.

Furthermore we implemented a rigid quality control system along the whole production chain – from cocoon to fabric – in order to be able to ensure traceability and the highest quality level for our important international customers.
