How we work

From mulberry trees to silk fabrics – our vertical integration ensures top quality at all production levels.

We strongly believe that the active involvement and transparent cooperation of all market players , farmer – reeling mill – twisting mill – dying&printing mill – brand, will lead to the sustainable success of all parties. This is how we work.

Mulberry Cultivation

Mulberry cultivation is the first important step in the silk production chain as mulberry leaves are the sole food source of the silk worm. With organic farming guidance from our technicians we defined master planning and standard planting instructions for our farmers. We also implemented organic insect management by using solar powered insect lamp and pheromone trap. This is creating a healthy micro-ecosystem in our fields and benefits the growth of our mulberry trees.

Silk Worm Rearing

With decades of experience in silkworm rearing, we have screened hundreds of silkworm egg varieties and found the best ones suitable for each region. We provide comprehensive service to our farmers, starting from hatching silkworm eggs, all the way to cocoon production. We also built modern silkworm rearing houses and let our farmers use them for free. Our cocoon quality is rated top grade and well above the level of our competitors.

Silk Reeling

The silk quality heavily depends on the quality of the cocoons. With a consistent supply of top quality cocoons and the most modern lines of reeling machinery, we are able to produce premium 6A quality raw silk – one of the best qualities available in the world!

Silk Twisting

Our twisting mills have more than 100 years of experience in the challenging world of silk twisting. The careful selection of the suitable raw silk and the cautious preparation is key for the high quality of twisted yarn. In order to achieve the best possible result for our customers we tend to use a high quality silk even if the final application would also allow a lower quality.

All our twisting mills are certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).
